You can get licensed in two ways.  You can license online here at bestagency.com.  Online licensing will get you licensed with the top 15 carriers in One Shot.  It can take 15-30 minutes to complete all the carrier questions. You can also do paper licensing by clicking on the licensing tab on the home page.

Advanced commission forms are completed at the time of licensing.  If the carrier allows advanced commissions then Best Agency offers this to you.  You can call Best Agency licensing department to confirm your advanced commission status.  You can contact Best Agency at 1-800-999-2378.

In all states EXCEPT PA, you can submit your licensing and the application together.

You can have dual contracting with most carriers. They will allow you to have multiple contracts with different MGA's. The only carriers that DO NOT allow dual appointment are: Fidelity Life (unless you have no new business in the last 6 months) Transamerica Family Markets (unless you have no new business in the last 6 months) United Home Life

These carriers DO NOT allow dual appointment are:
Fidelity Life (unless you have no new business in the last 6 months) or get a release from current MGA
Transamerica Family Markets (unless you have no new business in the last 6 months) or get a release from current MGA
United Home Life -must get a release from current MGA

American Memorial, Banner Life, Genworth Life, Transamerica Family Markets (Only Family markets, NOT regular Transamerica), Fidelity Life and United Home Life.

New Business

American General offers a Disablity Rider on the Select A Term series. Minimum face amount is $250k. You must use the American General software to run this quote. You can use the UL Complete Software (WINFLEX WEB) under the quotes section.  This is located on the Home Page.

American General need a signed PAC Authorization

Always make checks payable to the Insurance Company. Example:  Prudential or Banner Life.  Life Insurance companies will not accept agent checks or agency checks. So if you client gives you cash to pay for a policy, you CAN NOT use your check or even an insurance agency check...the insurance company will not accept it and it will be returned.

Genworth Life offers the Tele-App service.  They call it the Life quick Request form.  You can use both the paper or the online process.  To use the Paper application click on the Forms button located on the HOME Page.   To use the ONLINE application, click on the iGo section on the HOME Page.  You must have an iGO user id and password to process this online.

iGo is an entire online application process. It allows the agent to complete the application, client signature and application submission all online electronically.

Never see another client in person again!

Drop ticket is the easiest way to sell Life insurance. There is little work involved in selling a drop ticket product.

There is NO drop in commissions. You still get paid the highest comps.

The agent completes an online or paper submission ticket. Basic client data is needed. Name, social sec, address, telephone, bene and what you sold the client.

The carrier takes this information and contacts the client to complete a telephone interview. During the interview the application is taken and exams scheduled. Upon completion of the exam the application signatures are obtained. The application and the exam are then submitted to the carrier for underwriting.

The agent is notified of what is going on with the client during the process. At times the agent is involved in getting some underwriting requirement but not much.

Its’ the most efficient way to sell life insurance today. More PAY LESS WORK.

Commissions

Direct deposit is the quickest way to get paid.  Most carriers pay weekly if you are on direct deposit. Best Agency HIGHLY recommends all agent to be on Direct Deposit to get paid the quickest with absolutely no chance of commission checks being "lost in the mail". Direct Deposit forms are attached to all paper licensing contracts and are automatically included when you do online licensing.

Commissions depend on the carrier and the product you are selling.

You can quote table ratings simply by using the drop down box on the lower right hand on the quoting engine.  It is located under the CR (Child Rider) units.

To change your website password, please click on your name on the top of the HOME page by the Welcome section.  This will take you to the area to edit all of your information.

First thing that needs to be said is that ALL passwords on the Best Agency site can ALL MATCH...so the you only need to remember one User name and Password.  But here is the detailed answer.  The main Best Agency website has a Login requirement, so you need a User Name and Password...But if you are reading this FAQ you already logged in...so you already have one.  Also WinFlex Web (UL Full System) needs a password you make yourself when you register online for WinFlex Web access.  Best Agency Online Case Status you ask Best Agency at 1-800-999-2378 for a User Name and Password. And finally XRAE Risk Evaluator Software you ask Best Agency at 1-800-999-2378 for a User Name and Password.  So to sum it up 4 passwords are needed (but they all can be the same):

Best Agency Website  Access,  WinFlex Web, Best Agency Case Status and XRAE ALL need User names and Passwords...but they can all match.  Call Best Agency at 1-800-999-2378 to help you.

 

The Best Agency website which is known to be the best Life Insurance Brokerage website in the industry needs to be password protected because it contains a vast amount of proprietary information. Best Agency only wants to share this information with life insurance agents who work with Best Agency. Plus various programs we have on the site require the website to be locked down and only used by agents who work with Best Agency.

This is an issue that may be caused by your browser settings.  Listed below are some steps you can take to ensure that your browser settings are compatible with the program.

 

 

1.   Open up an Internet Explorer browser.

 

2.   Click on Tools then Internet Options.

 

3.   Click on the Privacy tab at the top.  Ensure that the Pop-up blocker is unchecked at the bottom of the screen.

 

4.   Remaining on the Privacy tab, click on the Advanced Button.  The Advanced Privacy Settings screen pops up.  Override automatic cookie handling should be checked.  First and Third party cookies should be set to Accept.  Always allow session cookies should be checked.  Click OK.

 

5.   Click on the Security tab> click the Green Check Mark that says Trusted

 

6.   Sites> and click on the button that says Sites.  Uncheck the Box that

         says "Require server verification" at the bottom.  In the Add box type in                                           

         *.agencyworks.com and *.insuresocket.com. Click Add.  The two sites will                                  

         drop into the websites box below.  Click Close.

 

7.   Click on the General tab.  We need to delete the Cookies and Temporary internet files.  Click on the Delete Button, In the delete browsing history window, make sure that Temporary internet files and cookies are both checked then click Delete.  (If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer on the general tab there will be a button that says Delete Cookies and one that says Delete files). Close out of any internet explorer windows you have open.  Reopen Internet Explorer, and log in. 

Underwriting

American General Life offers a special class table rating.  To quote, please just mark standard with the table rating on the Term quote engine.

Banner Life offers Standard plus with table ratings.  To quote you must indicate Standard plus as the rating class along with the table rating when using the Term quote engine.

The following insurance companies mail policies to Best Agency first and then Best Agency immediately mails them to the writing agents.  We are working with these companies to change this unreasonable arrangement…but at this time they WILL NOT change this delivery procedure.  This procedure is the same for ALL offices they work with and they do not send policies directly to writing agents for any other office in the country.
